The Intermountain Area offers a vast array of recreational activities
and attractions. Nestled between Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen lies the
incomparable Hat Creek, Fall River and Burney Valleys. Surrounded
and protected by Shasta, Lassen and Modoc National Forests our valleys
have historically been farming, cattle and timber communities. As
times have changed and as more and more folks want to escape the cities
to enjoy their sport or relax in the country, the Intermountain Area
has slowly been discovered.
We
experience all four seasons and all the activites that go along with
the them. Most notable is the fishing on world famous Fall River, Hat
Creek and Pit River which offer some of the countries best fishing
adventures. Another prime attraction is the Fall River Valley Golf and
Country Club, a four- star, 18 hole Clark Glasson designed championship
course.
From the more adventurous sports of fishing,
hunting, snow skiing, water skiing, hiking, biking, hang gliding, river
rafting, kayaking, roping or cutting horse show to the more casual
horseback ride, short walk to visit spectacular Burney Falls or laying
about on the hammock, one can truly find just about any activity
happening within our gorgeous valleys.
We are still a small
community where most folks know each other, neighbors still help each
other and one finds themselves waving at every vehicle they pass.
